One of the games we play with our boys from time to time is to make a squiggle on paper and have them develop a drawing the incorporates the squiggle. We’ve seen some pretty impressive creativity and have quite a few laughs. Drawing is a great way to help children develop fine motor skills and express themselves creatively and emotionally. So our squiggle game isn’t just simple fun, it helps them grow.
Surfing through the iPad app story, I found an app that lead me to a website that is perfect for the father of boys that wants them to continue their interest in drawing. If you have boys, you know they have an affinity for humor involving the rear end…if that’s an off limit topic in your house, you may not want to read on.
Everything Butt Art understands kids need to be silly and as parents want to encourage learning and creativity. They’ve developed an app and are creating a series of books to teach step-by-step drawing – but every drawing begins with a butt shape (a rounded lowercase w).
It’s pretty amazing how many things they can draw starting with that simple shape (and, by the way, no drawing is an actual butt).
The initial app contains several drawings, additional drawings require an in-app purchase to unlock.
