Homecoming

This past weekend I went to KidMin, a conference for children’s workers put on by Group. While I enjoy going to conferences that help me develop professionally, my favorite part of the conference is coming home. When I come home, my children are excited to see me and I’m excited to see them. Hugs and cuddles abound.

Then there’s also swag time. Most conferences have either chair drops or exhibitors (who give out swag) or a combination of both. I’ll grab some for each of the boys and it always makes for an exciting time of exploration and play.

During this past conference, one of the chair drops was a wooden looking baton that’s inflatable. Each of the boys have some and they are beating the heck out of each other – without hurting the other.

What rituals exist for your homecomings?
