As a dad, I am always on the look out for a time when I can naturally talk to my boys about God. This past weekend (9/23) another dad was able to have the opportunity to share about the blessing that each of us were given by Abraham.
We were serving at a retreat center and were putting our children to bed when they began a pillow fight. We joyfully joined in and as we played, he began to share about Abraham. As we fought he told us of how we were blessed because of Abraham’s obedience to God. Then, as the fight wore down he said he had something special to show us, something we couldn’t see closer to the city. We turned off all the lights in the cabin and stepped outside into the dark night. Looking into the sky he talked about how many stars there were and how many of the stars were galaxies of many, many stars. He also closed by sharing about the promised sons of Abraham.
